Master of Arts, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

“One day you finally knew what you had to do, and began.” -Mary Oliver

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. At Cedar Valley Counseling, I provide therapy to individual adults, teens, and couples seeking to learn, grow, and heal. I am passionate about helping people find their voices, own their stories, and attend to what hurts. I offer a mixture of insight, compassion, and thoughtful interventions—all in hopes that clients will experience a greater sense of connectedness and fuller participation in life. Truly, we all need spaces in our lives where we can be listened to and breathe a bit deeper.

I graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. As part of my education, I completed an internship in a community agency setting. Since then, I have provided clinical and case management services to a broad spectrum of individuals all with unique
experiences, resiliencies, and intersecting identities.

My practice is primarily informed by the idea that our relational contexts make up much of who we are, how
we make sense of things, and how we move in the world. This means we will work through the forces that
shape(d) your choices, desires, fears, and disappointments, in order to reimagine something different
together. My clinical scope includes a Level 1 certification in Lifespan Integration Therapy, which primarily
addresses the aftermath of traumatic experiences. I also draw from other evidence-based approaches, such
as Narrative Therapy, Somatic/Sensorimotor (body-based) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical
Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

I work with those whose life experiences include, but are not limited to: trauma & childhood abuse,
relationship distress, performance pressures (work, school, athletics), perfectionism, anxiety, depression, life
transitions, grief & loss, spirituality, and self-esteem issues.

I am deeply committed to learning with you. I meet weekly with a supervisor and monthly with a consult
group to help continually grow my capacities to be effective.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy reading, playing with my cat, meals with loved ones, and doing CrossFit.
