Bailey Walters, Intern

Pursuing MA in Counseling

Hello, and welcome to Cedar Valley Counseling. Thank you for reading my profile. I am a third year graduate student currently completing my internship here at Cedar Valley Counseling as the final step in obtaining my Masters in Counseling from Crown College. From a young age, I have desired to care for and serve individuals by providing mental health counseling. I believe caring for our souls, minds, and bodies is crucial to experiencing peace and enjoying a healthy life.

While I recognize merit in many theories of counseling, my therapy style draws heavily from Adlerian, Existential, and Cognitive Behavioral theories. I appreciate these three styles of counseling because they emphasize the value of the individual as well as the importance of how our thought life influences our feelings and actions. I believe it is important for all of us to determine the steps we can take to process and heal from whatever hurts and confusions may be hindering us from living our best lives. My hope as a therapist is to provide a safe, caring environment where we can work together to identify the best ways to grieve, process, rebuild, and grow.

I am very happy you are considering Cedar Valley Counseling as a place to find the help and hope you need. I look forward to meeting you and developing a relationship of trust and growth!
