Master of Arts, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

Location(s): Everett

Hello and welcome! Thanks for taking the time to read about me. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. I’m thrilled that I have this opportunity to assist you with living your best life. As we go through this journey of life, we experience joy and sadness; we need help to overcome certain conflicts and should embrace the desire to seek help. We all need a hug or assistance from time to time. A little more about me: I received a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2022 from Western Washington University. I interned at DSHS/DVR for a year and at Hero House NW/Bellevue Clubhouse for three months. I also have experience in Rehabilitation Counseling, assisting people with finding work.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration from Herbert H. Lehman College in New York. I was born in Jamaica, and I love exercising and writing. I’m interested in working with individuals who are feeling any form of Depression, PTSD and Trauma, Grief and Loss, Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder, and battling thoughts of suicide, occasionally or often. I would like to help people recognize that each person has a purpose in life, and life is precious and worth fighting for. I utilize Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) for my counseling framework. I focus on helping my clients reach self-actualization and congruence in their lives, using unconditional positive regard. I use exercise, dance, music, writing, and poetry for healing.

Sometimes you might feel uncomfortable talking about things that bother you or you feel strongly about. I encourage you to be as open and honest as possible. A successful counseling relationship is based on trust and mutual respect. I will respect you.
