Children, Teens and Adults

I’m a licensed mental health counselor associate dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults understand themselves and live more fulfilling lives. My approach to therapy is centered around creating a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and understood. I believe that the therapeutic relationship should be built on trust and openness, allowing you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.

I know that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re unsure about the process or uncertain whether it’s right for you. I prioritize a person-centered, humanistic approach in my practice, which means I feel that you are the expert of your own life. Rather than giving you solutions or advice, I aim to walk alongside you as you discover your own path forward. By listening deeply, asking thoughtful questions, and offering empathy, my goal is to help you connect with your inner wisdom and find the answers that feel most authentic to you. I trust that you already have the capacity within yourself for growth, healing, and positive change and see my role as aiding you in drawing upon the resilience you naturally possess.

In addition to my work with adults, I have experience working with children, teens, and families in both inpatient and community settings. I enjoy working with youth and families and understand the importance of meeting each individual where they are developmentally and emotionally. It is my belief that this work requires not only compassion, but also creativity, collaboration, and flexibility, and I bring these qualities into the therapeutic space to foster understanding and growth across all ages.

I believe everyone deserves to be known and understood without fear of judgment, and I hope you will find yourself able to speak freely in sessions with me. I value diversity and recognize that each person’s experiences are shaped by a unique blend of culture, background, and identity. I am committed to creating an inclusive, anti-racist space where every client feels welcome. I encourage feedback from clients about their experiences pursuing therapy with me and trust that through open dialogue, the power imbalance implicit in the therapeutic relationship can be tailored in a way that is best suited for client progress. I feel strongly that therapy should be a collaborative experience. If there’s anything that isn’t working for you, I’m always open to hearing your thoughts and adjusting as needed.

My approach to therapy is eclectic and I tend to work from several different modalities that I feel will be most beneficial to your concerns and goals. My personal style is grounded in showing up empathetically and as my genuine self. While I take our work together seriously, I also believe that humor and lightness can be powerful tools in healing. Whether you (or your child) are dealing with trauma, a major life transition, family/relationship issues, self-esteem challenges, or simply want to improve your mental well-being, I’m here to support you on your journey toward self-empowerment and self-acceptance.
