Philip Zaragoza, M.Ed, LMHCA

Masters of Education, Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

Location(s): Lynnwood

Hello and welcome! My name is Philip Zaragoza and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University as well as my Bachelors in Psychology from Washington State University. I have interned in community mental health at IKRON of Greater Seattle and have experience working in a crisis treatment center. I believe that resilience is inherent in every person and I’m excited to help be a part of the therapeutic journey that helps people realize this resilience, heal emotional wounds, and build positive life changes.

My approach in therapy is person-centered and wellness based, aimed at addressing life’s struggles for adult individuals such as depression, anxiety, and life transitions while also identifying and cultivating strengths. My therapeutic approach draws from a blend of orientations including cognitive behavioral therapy and narrative therapy. These orientations help create healthy changes through exploring thoughts and behaviors as well as encourage meaning making from our experiences and empower the ability to create a positive life story. I also recognize the importance of the effect that culture, identity, and spirituality have on our lives and am open to explore and understand it in an open multicultural space. My intent is to work collaboratively with you to validate and build up your resilience and strengths, make beneficial changes toward your goals, and heal distressing thoughts or trauma.
