Karen Aparicio, MA, LMHCA

Location(s): Lynnwood

Hello and welcome! My name is Karen, and I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate working with children, teens, and adults. I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling with a child and adolescent specialization from Northwestern University.

Finding the right counselor can be challenging, but connecting with someone who truly understands and supports you is essential. My primary goal is to create a strong therapeutic relationship, which I believe is fundamental to making meaningful progress. I am committed to providing a safe and empathetic space where you can be yourself without judgment, explore your emotions, and work towards positive change. Whether you’re navigating trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, significant life transitions, or substance abuse recovery, I am here to support you every step of the way. Additionally, I specialize in working with victims of narcissistic and psychopathic abuse, offering tailored support for these particularly difficult experiences.

When working with children and adolescents, I am dedicated to ensuring they feel understood and valued. I use creative and interactive techniques to help them express and make sense of their emotions in a way that resonates with their developmental stage. Together, we will work on coping strategies for trauma, depression, anxiety, and other challenges, helping them to develop healthy relationships with themselves and others and to reach their full potential.
